The following description was prepared by William Gross:
"Zikaron le-Bnei Israel" is a manuscript concerning the laws of kosher slaughter. The text has been printed in four editions in four different cities. The first edition is from Amsterdam, 1718, so this manuscript predates the earliest printing of the text. Manuscripts from Rashid, in Gaza, are quite rare, especially with a decorated title page. The early date, 1700, also makes this piece outstanding. In the Gross Family Collection is another manuscript regarding ritual slaughter, Gross OT.011.004, which is an autograph treatise by the same scribe Aaron ben Raphael Tawil.
