Jewish Funerary Art Old Jewish cemetery in Rașcov, Moldova
The report "Jewish Historic Monuments and Sites in Moldova," published by The United States Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad in 2010, states:
"The 20,000 square meter cemetery is surrounded by a ruined stone wall. The cemetery contains more than 5,000 extant gravestones that date from the 18th to the 20th centuries. The site is now deserted and overgrown and more than half of the stones are toppled or broken. "

According to the ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the exact period of the cemetery’s foundation is unknown. However, according to epigraphic data, it already existed in the 1700s. The cemetery remained in use until the beginning of the 19th century. It was catalogued by the “Sefer” Center in 2017.
