Jewish Funerary Art Site of the Jewish cemetery in Oniţcani, Moldova
According to the ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, there is a privately owned and fenced vegetable garden on the site of the former cemetery. According to locals, the cemetery territory was wider than the vegetable garden plot and included what today is a wasteland between the garden and the road. There are four gravestones laid out on the outer side of the cemetery fence which faces the road. According to the vegetable garden owner, the tombstones were found in the soil of the vegetable garden, and there are more tombstones inside the garden itself.
Entering the town from the Kriuleni side, proceed 500 metres from the Rompetrol gas station, turn right and continue for 60 metres. The demolished cemetery is located in the fenced garden on the left side of the road.
