  Jewish cemetery in Bolimów, Poland

© ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, Photographer: ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, 2021

According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the area of the cemetery was covered with thick bushes for many years. In 2021, thanks to the efforts of the "Zróbmy To" Association, the area was cleaned, and many tombstones were found. In addition, in April 2021 a commemorative plaque was erected at the cemeteries, also thanks to the efforts of the "Zróbmy To" Association and the Foundation for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage

There are 59 gravestones. After the war, granite tombstones were stolen from the cemetery and used as tombstones at the Catholic cemetery. The rest were used as building material. There are still tombstones made of fieldstones in the cemetery. The burial places were marked with white wooden posts by Mr. Zbigniew Skroński from the "Zróbmy To" Association. There is also a mass grave of 21 people shot in the cemetery during the war. It is likely a tomb surrounded by a circle made of stones.

Date of the oldest tombstone: 1882
Perimeter length: 257 metres
