History/Provenance

The synagogue was destroyed during the Kristallnacht in 1938.

After World War II, the plot was transferred to the Jewish Restitution Successor Organization (JRSO). In 1951, the plot was sold to Lech-Elektrizitätswerken (LEW) which built an office building on the spot in the 1960s and used it until 2007. In 2011-12, a new building was erected on the spot.

Already in the 1960s, LEW building had a relief with a depiction of the synagogue. In 2011-12, when LEW building was destroyed the relief was placed separately.
