sub-set tree:
The first Jewish family settled in Bajmok in 1774. At the beginning of the 20th century, the community numbered 163 members. The synagogue was built in 1904 and designed by architect Lipót Balogh in a neo-Gothic style. The synagogue was dominated by four small towers, and one larger central one, which gave the synagogue a church-like appearance. The building was demolished according to some sources in 1948, and according to others in 1955. The plaque on the site of the demolished synagogue (1 Mije Mandića Street) was unveiled at the initiative of the Municipality of Subotica and its local office in Bajmok in 2004.
