  Jewish ghetto cemetery in Augustów, Poland

According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the Augustow Ghetto cemetery is located in an urban area, the territory is surrounded by private residential households. There is a wire mesh fence about 1.5 m high.

In the years 2014-2016, 80 tombstones from Augustów Ghetto cemetery were returned to the cemetery. There are 30 intact tombstones and about 50 smaller fragments, placed in rows. Among the stone tombstones, there is one made of cast-iron. The tombstones now present in the Augustow ghetto cemetery, are most probably from the two other Jewish cemeteries of the town. The Jewish cemetery is located on the interception of Waryńskiego and Kozi Rynek streets.
