Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah crown, Livorno, 1958
The coronet is made of silver and consists of a base and a wreath.
The base is round and it bears a reliefed decoration of a pair of two facing volutes separated by two acanthus leaves linked by a dot. Inside every pair of volutes is an oval medallion, each one bearing one of the first words of the Decalogue and part of an inscription which reads:
N.85 / Nazione / ebrea di / Livorno קדש
"N.85 The Holy Jewish community of Livorno"
The wreath is round and it bears an openwork decoration of two alternate floriate patterns . A dedicatory inscription is engraved in linear letters on a metal band attached to the base and reads:
נדבת ק"ק [קהילה קדושה] פיטיליאנו / למ"נ [למנוחת נפש] כמוהר"ר [כבוד מורנו הרב רבי] שמואל קולומבו רב ראשי של ק"ק [קהילה קדושה] ליוורנו (פיטיליאנו-תר"ל ליוורנו-תרפ"ג) / תשי"ח
"A donation of the Holy Community of Pitigliano for the repose of of the soul of the honorable teacher Rabbi R. Samuel Colombo chief Rabbi of the Holy Community of Livorno (Pitigliano, (5)630(1870)-Livorno, (5)683(1923), (5)718(1958)."
