Brick (III) Synagogue in Kulashi, Georgia

© Vladimir Levin, Photographer: Levin, Vladimir, 2023

Locals say that the synagogue was built as a two-story building, which housed two prayer halls on the ground floor and a yeshiva on the upper floor (Georgiyah: masa el hakehilot hayehudiyot: kutaisi, kulashi, oni (Jerusalem: Zalman Shazar Center, 2010), p. 51. There are no signs, however, to the existence of a second floor.
