The torah^case is made of wood and consists of a body and a crown.## The body is cylindrical and covered by purple velvet attached along the edges by domed head nails. Three horisontal rows of silver Paisely plates encircle the body. Fourteen plates on each row are attached by nails,and are decorated by a leaf pattern. The space between the plates is nailed in geometrical pattern. The case is closed by two pairs of silver clasps. Two pairs of hinges are in the back of the case. The inner case is covered by white cotton decorated with floral pattern. ## There are two insert holes for the rods. The stepped dome shaped crown is composed of a main section, a crest, and an apex. The main section is covered with purple velvet, and nailed in a decorative pattern. The crest is undulating surmounted by a globural head. It is covered by a silver plate attached by nails. The base is decorated by two birds standing on a tree, flancked on its base by two cartouches with a floral pattern.It is surmounted by a band decorated by a geometrical pattern. The globural head is decorated by petals radiating from a bud shaped apex. Five chains carring flattend and slit drop shaped belles are attached to each side of the crest. The inner face of the crest,are identical in both sides. At the top a Star of David is engraved. Four wooden rimon mounts are fixed next to the crown on top of the case. The inner face of the crown is covered by a white paper in an arch like frame. The paper bears an insciption written in black linear letters. The first part of the inscription is read from right to left in an arch line. The other parts are read from right to left: וזאת התורה אשר שם משה לפני בני ישראל##כי שם יהוה אקרא## הבו גודל לאלוהינו ##זכתה וקנתה זה הספר חנה בת יצחק לעילוי##נשמת בעלה אברהם בו דוד ת'נ'צ'ב'ה##בשנת תשכ!ה ה' יאריך ימיה כי!ר! !And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel.!(Deut.4:44)## -?-## -?- ## !Granted and baught this book Hanah daughter of Izack for the exaltation of ## her husband's soul Abraham son of David.May his soul be bound up in the bond of life##In the year (5)725 (1965)May the Lord lengthen her life,may it be His will.!
