The free standing Hanukkah lamp consists of eight oil containers and a back wall. The rectangular oil containers terminate in lion heads with spouts emerging from their mouths for the wick. The containers are covered by a flat shelf with a knob in the center. The shelf is flanked by rectangular pedestals with lions crouching on them. The rectangular back wall has rounded shoulders and an openwork center. A double headed eagle is situated in the center of the back wall. Each head faces a different direction and they are surmounted by a single crown. The wings of the eagle are spread and surmount an inscription which reads in two parts, one under each wing, in square filled letters: "In memory of the miracle of Hanukkah". The eagle is perched on a branch that twists in either direction and bears a bud at the end which resembles a pomegranate or a rose. The inner borders of the upper back wall are scalloped and the sides are ridged.
