The left obelisk bears an inscription: Itt gyüjtötték össze / 1944. április 26-28 án / Nagykanizsa / és kornyékének / háromezer zsidólasát, / hogy Námetországba / hur colják és kiirtsák. / A háromezerböl 2700 ottveszett. [Translation: Here, on April 26-28, 1944, three thousand Jews from Nagykanizsa and its environs were gathered to be taken to Germany. Of the three thousand, 2,700 were lost].
The right obelisk bears an inscription: A munkaszolgálatban / elpusztultak emlékére / 1941 - 1945 [Translation: In memory of those who perished in the labor service, 1941-1945]
