The drop-shaped dedicatory plaque encloses a Hebrew inscription framed by a strip bearing a zigzag line and following the form of the plaque. The inscription is arranged in eight lines and is written in square, outlined letters that read:

"El Shadai (God Almighty), these mappah (cloth) and the ornament were dedicated by Ms. Hannah, blessed above women, the wife of Elijah David for her remedy, may the Lord bring her full recovery (part of the food blessing). (Donated) in the Holy Congregation of Previza, the year 5642=1882 ???, 'Now Hannah, she spake (in her heart)' (I Sam. 1:13)."

The sum of the marked letters of the word "מדברת" from the verse "Now Hannah, she spake (in her heart)" indicates the year 5642=1882.

A suspension ring is at the top of the plaque.
