The rimon is made of silver plated brass and consists of a shaft, a body and an apex.## The shaft is a tapering cylinder. The body has an arched shape. The frame has on its inner side petal-shaped edge. The frame is decorated with flower pattern. On both sides of the body a paper is attached covered by glass. On the front side the paper is decorated in the centre with seven branched menorah shaped in script !ANA BEKOAH! (the prayer of R. Nehunia Ben Haqaneh) that starts at the left branch. Above the menorah appears the inscription: שויתי יהוה תמיד לנגדי !I have set the Lord always before me..(based on Ps. 16:8)!##An inscription encircles three sides of the menorah and reads: יהוה יהוה אל רחום וחנון ארך \ אפיים ורב חסד \ ואמת נצר חסד לאלפים נ!ע!ו!ו! )נשא עון ופשע וחטאה( ונקה Ex. 34:6-7##The dedicatory inscription appears above the menorah and continues below the menorah. The inscriptions are framed by a foliate runner. The back side depicted in its centre by a seven branched menorah shaped in script (Ps.67:1-8) that starts at the top bar. Above the menorah appears the inscripton: שויתי יהוה תמיד לנגדי !I have set the Lord always before me..(based on Ps. 16:8)!##A Torah crown in a medallion appears at the top of the paper and is encircled by the inscription: זה שמי לעלם \ וזה זכרי לדר דר Ex. 3:15##On both sides of the menorah appears A Star of David. Below the Stars of David there are rosettes bearing a dedicatory inscripton. The name of the dedicator and painter appears at the lower border. The apex is in the shape of a wavy line with a dedicatory inscripton.##The inscription on front side reads: לימנוחת משה ה!מ! )המנוח( אברהם ונישמת מרים בת יוסף גבאי נ!ג!ח! )?(##כתבתי ברוך ה!כ!א! )כבוד יי' ?( אברהם גבאי !For the repose of Moses, the late, Abraham and the soul of Miriam daughter of Joseph Gabai (?)##I wrote, blessed be the glory of the Lord (based on Ezek. 3:12), Abraham Gabai! On the back side, in the right rosette: הקדיש ליי הבא יהוה הי!ו בה!מ )בן המורה ?( יוסף גבאי \ התריך ט!ו אלול תש!ו !Dedicated to the Lord, blessed the Lord (?), the Lord, may the Lord protect and sustain him, the son of the teacher (?) Joseph Gabai \ the date 15th Elul (5)706=(11.9.1946)!##In the left rosette: למנוחת משה המ אברהם....מרים בת יוסף גבאי !For the repose of Moses, the late, Abraham....Miriam daughter of Joseph Gabai!##Below the menorah: כתבתי וציירתי מנחה קלי )קודש לה' ?( ברוך כ!ה!א! אברהם גבאי !I worte and painted, an offering dedicated to the Lord (?), blessed be the glory of the Lord (Ezek. 3:12), Abraham Gabai!##On the apex, rimon A.: הקדשתי לי' יהודה גבאי לנשמת משה ה'מ' ה אברהם גבאי תנצבה !I dedicated to the Lord Judeah Gabai for the soul of Moses, the late, Mr. Abraham Gabai, may his soul be bound up in the bond of life!##Rimon B.: הקדשתי לה' יהודה גבאי ....מרים בת יוסף גבאי !I dedicated to the Lord Judeah Gabai .....Miriam daughter of Joseph Gabai!
