The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a coronet.##The body has ten facets. The front facet is decorated with foliate pattern. A rectangular plaque with a pointed arch is attached at the centre of the facet. The plaque bears a dedicatory inscription. Underneath is a hooked closure with cut-out floral base. The hook bears the date which reads: שנת התשי!ו לפג !The year 5716!##Knobs for hanging the Torah case wrapper encirle the upper borders.ttom has an oval hand holders and three round holes. The hollow top is decorated with five arched holes. The inner face is plain wood. The hollow bottom has an oval hand holders and another smaller one on each side. The hollow top is covered with a mirror bearing an inscription: וזאת התורה אשר שם משה .. לפני בני ישראל !Deut. 4:44!##There are two holes for the Torah rods at the top of the case. The coronet is faceted. Each of the ten facets is decorated with symmetrical openwork of floral pattern. The dedicatory inscription is engraved in linear letters and reads:##On right: ק'ל'ה## וזאת התור'## זכה וברה####מפנינים יקרה##בתגין עטורה##אשר הקדיש הר'##סומאני מגידש ה'י'ו'##לחיי בנו הר' כמוס##מגידש ה'י'ו' ולחיי##בנותיו גאמילה##וכאמסה ה'י'ו' Continues on left: ק'ל'ה## וזאת התורה## מפנינים יקרה## בתגין עטורה##זכה וברה##וגם סייעא בה ##מרת רוזה מגידש##וגם הר' כמוס##ורחום ה'י'ו'##ולחיי יוסף מגידש##ונכדו יורם ה'י'ו' !Dedicated to the Lord##and this Torah is##pure and clean##more precious than rubies(Prov. 3:15)##23)!crowned by a crown##which was dedicated by the R.##Sumani Magidesh, may the Lord protect him and sustain him To the life of his son the R. Kamus##Magidesh, may the Lord protect and sustain him, and to the life of##his daughters Gamilah##and Kamasah, may the Lord protect and sustain them##Continues on left: !Dedicated to the Lord##and this Torah is## more precious than rubies(Prov. 3:15)##23)## crowned by a crown##pure and clean##and also helped##Mrs. Rosa Magidesh##and also the R.
