© Gbennink, via Wikimedia Commons, Photographer: Unknown, 2015

A former synagogue was located on site of this synagogue in Vianen which can be dated back to the year 1756. It was subsequently renovated in the 1828 and 1847. During these later renovations, the synagogue received its current windows and stucco facades. The interior contains a wooden vaulted ceiling and a women’s gallery supported by Tuscan pillars.

The Jewish community of Vianen was dissolved in 1920. The building has been redeveloped and used as a church since 1924.
