Fol. 89: The diagram of the orbit of the moon is drawn in brown ink and inscribed by Abraham the scribe. The caption above reads: “Image of the orbit of the moon which the sun enlightens and brightens”.
(צורת גלגל הירח אשר מאור השמש מאיר וזורח; Loewe 2004, II:678, 734). It is shown as a small circle inscribed three times “Moon” (לבנה). Its centre, inscribed "centre of the moon's orbit" (נקודת גלגל להקפה), is intersected by the circumference of a large circle, labelled "centre of the earth" (נקודת הארץ).
The large circle is inscribed to left and right: "The great orbit of the moon similar to that of the zodiac sphere" (גלגל גדול ללבנה דומה לגלגל המזלות).
Inscribed on the vertical axis: "the moon's least height and nearest distance" (i.e. prigee); (גובה קטן ללבנה ומרחק קרוב).
