Fol. 27: A hermit is swearing with two fingers of his right hand raised to the knight Heber who is holding his left wrist tightly to ensure the validity of his oath (Spurr 2001: 37-63; esp. 45, n. 37). The hermit has long hair and a beard and is wearing a habit; Heber is dressed in a short tunic and helmet, with a long sword dangling at his side. The caption above reads: “Image of the hermit swearing by his faith and Heber insisting on his oath (צורת הנזיר נשבע באמונתו, והחבר מדקדק בשבועתו; Loewe 2004, I:223).
