Fol. 23v: The abandoned husband is standing in the centre of a room holding his head in despair in front of the empty chest and cupboard. He is wearing a belted mantle with an empty bag hanging over his right shoulder. The caption above reads: "Image of the man crying and bewildered, while the wheel of his cries rises, ‘his horns are exalted’, and his sighs increased" (I Sam. 2:1;צורת האיש בוכה ומשתומם, וגלגל צעקתו תרומם/ ורמו קרנותיו, וגדלו אנחותיו; differs from Loewe 2004, I:191).
