The tas is made of silver and consists of a plate, a crest and a chain. The plate is in the shape of a cartouche. It is decorated with two rampant lions looking forwards. They support the five and five Tables of the Covenant insribed with the first words of the Decalogue. The frame for the calendar tablet is rectangular and set bellow the Tables of the Covenant. In the lower section is a cartouche which is framed with C-scrols,and bears a dedicatory inscription. The plate is framed on both sides by a curtain. The bottom is decorated by branches which meet each other under the cartouche. The plate's background is punched. A crest in the shape of a crown is attached to the plate. The plate is hung by a chain which is inserted through three rings attached to the back of the plate. The dedicatory inscription is engraved in outline letters, and reads:
ז'נ ) זאת נעידב( הנגיד והקצין כהר'## אברהם טיש נ'י)נרו יאיר(## לזכרון נשמת זוגתו החשובה## שרל בת הינדל ע"ש)עליה השלום(
"This was donated by the affluent, eminent, honourable rabbi(int.)## Abraham Tisch may his light shine(int.)## in memory of the soul of his wife the important ## Surel daughter of Hindel may she rest in peace(int.)"
