The silver maniform Torah Pointer is a bar composed of an upper arm and a forearm bearing a dedicatory inscription. The upper arm has an indented shape. The forearm is tapering and ends with a floral pattern set by tourquise.
The upper part of the Torah pointer is set by tourquise and ends with a ring for a chain. The dedicatory inscription is engraved in outline letters, and reads from the pointer in a vertical line and on the upper arm in horizontal lines:
זה הקולמוס הקדישו לעילוי נשמת // מ'ו' [=מולא] משיח##בן מ'ו' יוסף // נ''ע [=נוחו עדן] //בהשתדלות // מ'ו' יוסף // שלום י'צ'ו' [=ישמרהו צורו ויחיהו] // שנת // אהב ימים // ל'ר'א'ו'ת' // ט'ו'ב' // לפ'ק'
Translation: This Qulmus (=Torah pointer) was dedicated for the exaltation of the soul##of Mullah Masaiah##son of Mullah Joseph##may he rest in Eden (int.)##with the efforts##of Mullah Joseph##Shalom, may his Rock protect and sustain him(int.) the year##(5)649=(1889), (based on Ps. 34:13)!
