The triptych is composed of three rectangles, of which the central one is a little larger than the side ones. The central portion represents a gray shadow of the artist's head on the bare tin which functions as a mirror. Two pins are placed on the upper corners of the central panel. On the right wing is a print of the artist's right palm, colored in pink with yellow stains on the wrist, all represented on a blue background. The left panel depicts the left palm of the artist in the same way, but with a gray wrist.
