The silver torah pointer consists of an upper joint, bar and hand. ## The upper joint is rectangular, decorated with star of david. It bears a dedicatory inscription in linear letters on the back. The bar consist of two superimposed flat sections, separated by twisted part. It bears a dedicatory inscription in filled letters on the back and another inscription on the front side. The inscription reads towards the hand.On the upper section it reads: !וזאת התורה אשר! !And this is the law wich ! (Deut.4:44) On the lower section it reads: !שם משה לפני בני! !Moses set before the children! (Deut. 4:44) The pointer ends with an open flat hand, wich bears an inscription that reads: !ישראל! !Israel!(Deut.4:44) The dedicatory inscription reads towards the hand on the upper joint, onupper and lower sections of the bar and on the hand,reads: גב היד- הקדוש לנשמת## ציון בהמ )= בו המנוח( מרדכי## יום טוביאן ושפרה ## אשתו שנת התשלא ליצירה !dedication to the soul of ## Zion son of the deceased Mordechai ## Yom Tovian and Shiphra ## his wife year 5731 (=1971) !
