The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a crown.##The cylindrical body is covered with red velvet. Silver friezes, bearing a floral pattern, encircle the centre and the upper and lower borders of the body. A heart-shaped silver plaque bearing a dedicatory inscription is attached on the left side of the body. The body's upper border is surmounted by an arch-shaped crenellation, bearing a floral pattern. Each half of the case is framed by asilver band nailed into the wood.##The case has two silver hook clasps. The inner face of the case is covered with red, velvety adhesive paper, with silver bands nailed into all the borders. The onion-shaped crown consists of a main section, a crest and an apex.##The main section is covered with red velvet. The crest is covered with silver sheets decorated with two registers of floral patterns. The bands are seperated by a plain horizontal band, and are surmounted by a whorl pattern and an undulating onion-shaped element. The crest is surmounted by a globular apex. ##Two iron rimon mounts are fixed to the crown. Silver dedicatory plaques shaped like the crown are attached to its innerfaces.## The dedicatory inscription on the plaque on the outer face of the body is engraved in outline letters, and reads: קודש ל!ה##המ! חנה בת בגו##ומרים בת בגו##ת'נ'צ'ב'ה'##נ!ע !Dedicated to the Lord##the late Hannah daughter of Bago (?)##and Miriam daughter of Bago##May their souls be bound up in the bond of life##May they rest in Eden! The dedicatory inscription in the inner face of the crown is chaised in filled letters, starts on the right, and reads: !קודש ל!ה##למנו' נר!י##הבת!ו##ה!מ הזקנה חנה בת בגו לאה##נ!פ##יום ו' א' יום לחודש טבת שנת הת!ש!כ!ו##וה!מ הזקנה מרים בת בגו לאה##נ!פ ליום ה! כ!ח בו לחודש סיון## שנת הת!שכ!ג נ!ע##ת'נ'צ'ב'ה'! !Dedicated to the Lord##For the repose of, soul and spirit, ##? ##the late the elderly Hannah daughter of Bago Leah##who passed away on Friday, the first day of the month of Tevet, the year 5726 (24.12.1965) and the late the elderly Miriam daughter of Bago Leah## passed away on Thursday, the 28th of the month of Sivan## the year 5723 (20.6.1963), May she rest in Eden##May their souls be bound up in the bond of life.! The inscription continues on the left side of the inner face of the crown and reads: !קודש ל!ה##תיק זה וספר##הפט!ר שבו למפטיר##בנלי אים כאמור מה נאוו על##ההרים רגלי מבשר משמיע שלום##מבשר טוב משמיע ישועה אמר לציו##מלך אלוהיך! !Dedicated to the Lord##This case and the book##of Haftorot inside it for Maftir##? as it is said: Isa. 52:7!
