The coronet is composed of twelve facets shaped like a trefoil each bearing the signs of the sons of Jacob enclosed within an oval medallion. The medallions are flanked by two stems with leaves radiating from an open flower at the top of the arch. Below the medallions is the name of the tribe, written in square outline letters:
Reuben is depicted as mandrakes - a bouquet of two identical flowers flanking a round flower set between them.
Simeon is depicted as Shechem- sword and rifle crossed, over the city of Shechem depicted as two gates.
Levi is represented by sanctuary implements following his role in the temple: a laver, and an incense container set upon a base, and a breastplate.
Judah is depicted as a rampant lion with its tongue revealed and its tail elevated.
Issachar is depicted as a donkey walking on the ground, under a starry moon-filled sky.
Zebulun is depicted as a galley with a flag hoisted high.
Naphtali is depicted as a leaping wild banner.
Dan is depicted as a winding snake on a branch.
Gad is depicted as a six- tent encampment with a flag hoisted high.
Asher is depicted as an olive tree.
Joseph is depicted as a bull.
Benjamin is depicted as a wolf with gaping jaws and tongue revealed.
