Description:
This monument is located on the site of the Jewish Cemetery in Mariiampil, which is now a field. The monument is an upright stele that has a rounded top with shoulders. The Monument has floral ornamentation on its perimeter. Within the ornamentation, there are three inscriptions carved with raised letters. The space between the ornamentation and inscriptions is filled with carved, raised, horizontal stripes of the same height as the letters of the inscriptions. At its bottom, the monument has a small metal plaque with the name of a donor and a year of installation.

In 1939, there were 270 Jews in Mariiampil. During the Holocaust, some of them were killed in the village, and in spring of 1942, more than 150 Jews were deported to Stanisławów. No one survived.
The Monument to the Victims of The Holocaust in Mariiampil was erected in 2010 by the NGO "Committee for the Revival of Mariiampil" with financial support of the Rothschild Foundation (Great Britain). The installation was also partly financed by the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. The Monument was made from the local stone. Its author is Vasyl Vilshuk, a sculptor and laureate of the Shevchenko Prize.
