This text was prepared by William Gross:

Second edition of Christian Reineccius' Hebrew Old Testament based on the Leipzig polyglot, first published in 1725. Biblical text in vocalized Hebrew, versified in Hebrew and Arabic numerals, showing masoretic notes and weekly parsha readings. Latin chapter descriptions at the top of the page and under each chapter heading. Hebrew notes at the bottom margin. Includes a listing of the haftara readings and a short dictionary of biblical terms. Text in Hebrew.
Christian Reineccius was the rector of the gymnasium Weissenfels, he served his writings the study of Hebrew, and gave the Old and New Testament in four languages (Leipzig , 1713-1748).
The image on the frontispiece is directly copied from the 1716 Bible of Johann Heinrich Majus, published in Frankfurt a.M. Since the engraving is copied, it is the reverse of the earlier image (see here).

Editor: Christian Reineccius, 1688 - 1752
