Summary and Remarks

Note by Sergey Kravtsov, 5/2/2011

The ohel of R. Aharon, admor from Karlin, used to stand in the cemetery from the 19th century. It was destroyed (when?). After the words of Vasyl Anikushin (the caretaker), the Soviets have devastated the cemetery, built the hotel on its part along the street. He had found two concrete matzevot used a step stones to the military headquarter, and brought them to the cemetery. The cemetery is fenced out. The pavement around the ohel is authentic, it was found during the archaeological excavations. The foundations of the original ohel were found during those excavations as well. The pavement inside the ohel was intact partially, and partially Mr. Anikushin added a portion of stone close to the entrance. The actual ohel was built in ca 2000, on authentic foundations.

Meylakh Sheykhet was in charge of the Mlyniv ohel project.
