Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah pointer, Turkey, 1953
The silver Torah pointer consists of a pointer a bar and a hanger.
The bar is divided into an upper and lower part. The twisted upper part terminates with a round edge through its hole a chain is inserted. The rectangular lower part terminates with a clenched hand with a straight index finger. The lower part bears a dedicatory inscription in square filled letters, and reads from the upper part towards the pointer: On one side: "הקדש לק"ק )לקהילה קדושה( בית ישראל ממני חיים דאנון ה"יו )ה' ישמרהו ויצילהו(". "A dedication to holy community, Bet Israel, from me Haim Danon, may the Lord protect him and save him". On the other side: "שנת 5713##ה'" "The year 5713 (1953); The Lord"
