The silver tas consists of a plate, a crest and a chain. The cartouche-shaped plate is decorated with two lions facing each other.They support the Tablet of Covenant bearing the first words of the Decalogue. Agarland of flowers surmounted the tables. The rectangular frame for the calendar tablet is set in the lower part of the plate. At the bottom of the plate is a cartouche surrounded by C-scrolls and foliate patterns. The cartouche bears a dedicatory inscription. The decorations upon the plate apear against a punched background. The plate is framed by rocailles bearing a lattice pattern. A crest shaped lile a lobed and beaded crown is attached to the plate. The plate is hung by a chain inserted through three rings attached to the back of the plate. The dedicatory inscription on the cartouche is engraved in latin linear letters, and reads:

"AJANDEK(O)ZTA## P IKA ##1904 1/16"

"This has been donated by## P ika## 1904 1/16"

The inscription continues in hebrew in filled letters, reading: בן ציון סגל "Ben Zion Segal"
