Translation: To the synagogue Saarei Rahamim/ a pair of finials dedicated by Sarah to the rest / of her husband Josef ben Shaul 12 Tammuz 708 [=1948]/ and her son Aharon ben Josef rosh hodesh Nissan 708 [=1948] / that fell liberating their motherland. /Let God avenge their blood; Let their souls be bound in the bundle of life.
