Description

This memorial plaque, located on one of the interior walls of the synagogue, is made of white marble and held in a metal frame. It has two inscriptions taking up the center of its body. The upper inscription is shorter and is framed in a rectangle with a crenelated top. The lower inscription is longer and is framed in a simple rectangle, but has a branch with leaves as a decorative footer.

Flanking these inscriptions are two identical column motifs; the columns have two horns at their tops, beneath which are black Magen Davids. The bottom halves of the columns are taken up by a black pillar or candlestick, out of which rises a flame.
