The silver Torah finial consists of a shaft, a body a head and an apex.
The shaft is cylindrical and is supported by a round raised base. The base is decorated with flowers and leaves and bears three smooth shields. The shaft surmounts a unit composed of slices, topped by a row of acanthus leaves. The shaft is decorated with floral open work in three strips, the top strip is decorated with open winged birds. The shaft is topped by a wide smooth stepped circlet whose over hanging edges are decorated with leaves. The crown shaped body is composed of a coronet and six arms. It is decora ted with a floral motif. Bells are interspersed between the arms. The crown shaped head repeats the shape of the body, in open work. The arms join together in a floral circlet from which a bell hangs.
A swan shaped apex surmounts the head.
It is the city mark of Zhitomir between 1823-1857.

2. The hallmark depicts the cypher 84 in a square frame. It is a Russian quality mark in the 18-19th centuries.

3. The hallmark depicts Cyrillic iinitials: "V.CH." (in lat.) with the date 1863 under a line, within a rectangular frame. It is an unidentified assayer hallmark.
4. The hallmark depict Cyrillic initials: "A.D." (in lat.). It is a mark of an unknown artist active in Zhitomir in 1859.
