The yellow parokhet is made of velvet. The parokhet is rectangular. Five-and-five Tables of the Covenant on a clouds-like background depict the center of parokhet and are encircled by rays-like frame. A Torah crown appears above the Tables of the covenant with the inscription:
כתר תורה "Crown of Torah"
A dedicatory inscription appears on the lower part of parokhet in a rectangular frame. The parokhet is encircled by a foliate runner. The dedicatory inscription is embroidered in outline letters and reads:
נעשה מקופת החברה קדישא##דפה ק"ק פעסט יע'א )יבנה עירו אמן(##בשנת##ת'ו'רת מ'שה ע'ו'מ'דת לע'ד לפ"ק
"Was made from the fund of Hevrah Qadisha##here, the holy congregation(int.) Pest, may He build his city amen(int.)##in the year##(5)632=(1872) (based on--------)"
A matching kaporet is attached to the parokhet. It is decorated by foliate and floral motif and bears an inscription, reads:
כפר לעמך ישראל שגגתו
"Make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance (based on: Lev. 5:18)"
