The purple parokhet is made of velvet.
The parokhet is rectangular and composed of a Torah ark curtain and a kaporet. A dedicatory inscription appears at center in a curtain-like frame. Two cylindrical columns with spiralling bands, rising over rectangular pedestals. The capitals are surmounted by rampant loins~ supportig a Torah crown.
An inscription appears under the Torah crown. כ"ת "Crown of Torah"(int.) The parokhet is covered by stars. The dedicatory inscription is embroidered in outline letters and reads: נעשה מנדבות לב##אנשי ישורן##בני חברה בהכנ דפה##בודאפעסט##פראנצשטאדט##בשנת תרסט לפק "This was made of generosity donations##of Jeshurun (=Israel) peopele##of the society of the synagogue, here##in Budapest##Franzstadt (Ferencváros) ##in the year (5)669=(1909)" The matching kaporet is decorated with stars and bears an inscription: קדש לה " Dedicated to the Lord"
