Note by Ekaterina Oleshkevich: The printer's mark says: "Naftali Hirtz Grusman ben David Madfis." Yaari's study on the emblems of Jewish printers does not mention this printer's mark, but only the one by Grossman's widow Haya who came into possesion of the printing house after her husband's death (printing activity of Haya Grossman 1827-1849). However, Yaari says that he did not succeed to find any other such emblems except in the book published in 1840. The emblem featured in the Yaari's study does not have text around the initials. Probably, Grossman's widow decided to have only the initials, because they were same both for her and her late husband (H G stand both for Hirtz Grossman and Haya Grossman). See Avraham Yaari, Diglei ha-madpisim ha-ivri'im. Jerusalem, 1944. P. 182.
