Hallmark
Three hallmarks are stamped on the buckle.
1. A circle divided into three parts with the cypher 13 on the upper part, is depicted at the center of the hallmark. The circle is surmounted by the letter D and is flanked by the date 1818.
This is an Austria-Hungary quality hallmark, used between 1825-1866.
The letter D indicates Lvov. ##Cf. Rozenberg 3, no. 7861.
2. The hallmark consists of the letters: F and T, combined and surmounted by the letter D, within an oval frame. This is an Austria-Hungary mark for large objects, used between 1810-1824. The letter D indicates Lvov. ##Cf. Divis, p.95, no. 564.
3. The hallmark consists of the initials J & F overlapping within a cartouche and is unidentified. It is probably the artist's stamp.
