"נגמר מלאכת הקודש ז'ד')?( אלול תקט לפק" "הקטן יצחק ב'הרבני)בן הרבני( מהר"ר )מורנו הרב רבי( שאול הלוי זצ"ל)זכר צדיק לברכה( ח'פ')חתום פה( ק"ק שענדשוב" The silver Torah Finial consists of a shaft, a body and an apex.##The shaft is cylindrical and is supported by a round raised base which is decorated with scrolls inhabited by animals. The first finial bears a horse, a bird, and a ram. The second finial bears a unicorn, an eagle and a lion. The lower strip of the base is circumfered by a dedicatory inscription inscribed in square filled letters and reads on the first finial: "The holy work was completed, the month of Elul the year (5)509 (=1749)" It continues on the second finial and reads: "The humble Isaac, son of the learned in Torah, our teacher, the Rabbi, R.Saul Ha-Levi the righteous of blessed memory, completed here in the holy community Shondshov." The shaft is encircled by a spiral band of leaves . The globular body is composed of two parts. The bottom half repeats the pattern of the shaft and the top half is decorated as the base with inhabited scrolls. On the first finial appear a lion, a bird and a deer, and on the second finial appear a griffon, a squirrel and a bird. An acorn shaped apex surmounts the body.
