The round panel depicting Helios is in the inner circle of the zodiac wheel in the middle of the nave. Helios is portrayed frontally in a chariot. Only his crowned head and neck are seen. His crown is composed of six rays. The front of the chariot is shown as a square with two wheels attached to it and flanked by two pairs of frontal horses with reins. Above the right pair of horses is a crescent moon, above the left pair a whip. Stars are depicted in the background, next to the moon and below the chariot. The panel is framed by a guilloche band.
