A full-page panel consisting of two illustrations placed within a bisected rectangle. In the upper half, on a magenta ground, decorated with golden lozenges, the patron is sitting on a bench on the left. Kneeling in front of him is the scribe presenting the completed book. In the lower half, on a magenta ground decorated with golden lozenges, a reader is seated on the right, on a high backed wooden chair. On his lap is an open book on which his left hand rests; with his right hand he is pointing to a group of four men sitting by a long wooden table. All of them are reading from open books, three of which rest on the table. One man is holding his book up; the other are resting their right hands on the table. The panel is framed by a stripe of blue alternating with burnished gold. Twisted leaves protrude from the frame of the rectangle, combined with burnished gold flowers and dots.
