Fol. 1: The frontispiece of the manuscript shows a frame divided into four panels, enclosing the inscription: “Order of laws and prayers of the circumcision ceremony, executed here in Kittsee, in the year [5]518 (1758)" (סדר דינים ותפילות השייכים לברית מילה – נעשה פה ק"ק קיצע שנת תקי"ח לפק). Flanking the text are Moses on the right and Aharon on the left, each standing on a pedestal within a niche, topped by an elaborated conch. Moses, wearing a draped tunique, holds the two arched Tables of the Law and two horns trim from his head; Aharon wears a long robe with a sketchy breastplate, the High-priest mitre (miznefet) on his head, and holds the incense box on his left hand. In the central cartouche at the bottom of the frame is the inscription: "Belongs to R. Yaakov of Lackenbach" (שייך להר"ר יעקב מלאקין באך). At the center of the top panel of the frame an empty cartouche is flanked by two semi-nude winged putti, against a gray background.
