The tombstone is a stela with a protruding border. Its upper part is broken. The Hebrew epitaph reads:

[אבן]

הזאת אשר

שמתי מצבה [בראשית כח, כב]

לראש ר' יוסף

ב'ר' בנימן הנהרג

ביום ו' באחד

לירח מרחשון

שנת ק'ב'ל' לאלף

הששי ת'נ'צ'ב'ה'

א'א'א' סלה

And this stone, which I have set for a pillar [Gen. 28:22]

To the head of r. Joseph

Son of r. Benjamin, that was murdered

On Friday, the first day

of the month of Marheshvan

The year 132 in the sixth

Millenium [=11 October 1371]. May his soul be bound in the bundle of life

Amen, amen, amen, selah
