The tombstone is a stela. At its centue is an arched plaque, inscribed with an epitaph in Hebrew and Italian:

Italian inscription -
"Fu uomo di carattere aureo/ di rara adamantina probità/ d'animo squisitamente cortese/ pronto sempre a porgere illuminati/ consigli e a chi ne lo richiedeva/ marito, padre e fratello affettuosissimo/ lascia nel cuore dei suoi cari/ perenne doloroso rimpianto/ nato il 30-8-1852 morto il 22-1-1921"
"[The deceased] was a man of a golden character, of a rare scrupulous probity, of soul exquisitely courteous, always ready to offer enlightened advices to those who asked him, the most tender husband, father and brother he remains in the heart of his beloved, mournfully lamented forever.
