History/Provenance

The synagogue was burnt down in 1938 during the Kristallnacht. The site was built over.

In 2020, the city acquired the synagogue site to create a memorial. The temporary memorial plaque is installed at the site showing the synagogue silhouette. 

In 2023, the excavations began to uncover the remains of the synagogue.
