History/Provenance
Bet Hillel Synagogue has been reconstructed in 2014 by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with the Jewish Community Foundation of Izmir. The synagogue, serving as a memory house, is open during mid-week and is a good “showcase”, especially as non-Jewish visitors can get preliminary information on a Jewish temple, Judaica objects and the basics of Jewish spiritual life.
