Description:
Two tall stelae with arched tops are attached to the inner wall of the vestibule (entrance wall to the sanctuary) of the Baia Mare synagogue. The stelae are densely inscribed in Hebrew with the names of victims.
The first name in the list is Moshe Stroli, the rabbi of the Nagybánya (today Baia Mare).

שנהרגו ושנשרפו על קדושת שם המיוחד

Translation: A stone from a wall will cry out / for the loss of our city's Jews, men, women, and children, / who were killed and burned for the special sanctity of God / in 5704 [=1944].
