Description

The plaque is located on the front wall of the former synagogue in Biecz. It is a black plaque with identical Polish and English inscriptions. A Magen David is carved at the top of the plaque. The inscriptions are divided by an image of barbed wire.

History

On July 17, 1998, members of the Beitcher Society of New York affixed the plaque with the permission of the local authorities.

Holocaust survivors, including the son of the last rabbi of Biecz, local residents, and representatives of the authorities took part in the unveiling ceremony [Przybyłowicz].
