Description

A metal plaque is attached to the building of the former synagogue. It contains a German inscription and an image of a menorah on the left.

Inscription, in German:

In Mainbernheim bestand bis 1942
eine Jüdische Kultusgemeinde,
deren Synagoge sich im Hause
Untere Brunnengasse 4 befand.
Zur Erinnerung an unsere
ehemaligen
jüdischen Mitbürger.

Translation: A Jewish religious community existed in Mainbernheim until 1942; its synagogue was located at Untere Brunnengasse 4. In memory of our former Jewish fellow citizens.
