Who is Commemorated?

50,000 Greek Jews of Thessaloniki

Description

A rectangular plaque with commemorative text in Greek and English is affixed to the exterior wall of the train station.

Four unused rail freight wagons – box cars – sit on a track behind the station. These wagons are like those that were used to transport Jews from Thessaloniki to Poland.
