Who is Commemorated?

Jewish victims of the Holocaust

Description

The gate is situated at the entrance to the valley of Ksalon, on the road leading to the central commemoration plaza of the Martyrs' Forest, where the B'nai B'rith Cave and Anne Frank Memorial are situated.

The gate is a parabolic arch across the road through an asymmetrical structure that is faced with rough stones. Inside the archway, are affixed two metal plaques listing the names of B'nai B'rith lodges and chapters and the numbers of trees donated by them.

On the southern, outer side of the gate an inscription in Hebrew and English reads:

יער הקדושים של בני ברית

B'nai B'rith Martyr's Forest

Both metal plaques bear identical Hebrew and English inscriptions at their head:

הרשומים מטה נטעו כל אחד גן עצים

A garden of trees has been planted by each of the following B'nai B'rith lodges and chapters
